SIMPSON, Mary - Wilderness, MO

From Article in the MISSOURIAN DEMOCRAT, Thursday, July 6, 1911

Mrs. Mary Simpson Dead.

Mrs. Mary Simpson, the wife of Reverend J. C. Simpson, died at her home near Wilderness July 1, 1911.

She was born February 20, 1851, and converted to Christ at the age of 13 years.

She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Weldon, was united to marriage to J. C. Simpson July 28, 1866, and in the same year she joined the Methodist church, and lived a devoted christian to the end.

She was the mother of 12 children, 7 boys and 5 girls of whom 7 are dead and 5 are living. The funeral was preached by Rev. I. A. Sisk. Quite a crowd was present all seemed to mourn the lost of the sister and friend.

We join the bereaved family in their sorrow, praying that God will bless and comfort them through life.
