WALTERS Family

I have very little information on my WALTERs family.  I posted the following in 1998 when I first began doing genealogy:

My gg-grandfather James Henry Walters was born in Georgia. He died in
Missouri in 1925. His death certificate does not provide his parents
names, but it is consistent with census records in saying that he is from
Georgia.

Info:
His name is either James Henry Walters (death cert) or Henry James
Walters (tombstone). He was either b. 9-3-1850 (death cert) or
11-10-1854 (tombstone).  He died on 8-13-25. He married Nancy Jane Snider in Carter County, MO where she was born.

I have no idea at this point where in Georgia James Henry was from or
how old he was when he moved. I have been told that this line is going
to be a brick wall and no one knows anything about the Walters in my
family.  Hopefully someone out there can prove them wrong!!

Well, it is now almost 2006, and so far, the family hasn't been wrong.  I have searched census records to death for a Henry or James Walters in 1860 (either age 6 or age 10), and can't find a thing.  My grandma Jessie Oleta Simpson was a WALTERS.  See My Simpson Family website.

Walters, Henry James  (The death certificate has him in this order.)  Shows birth date of 9-3-1850, which is consistent with the 1900 census.  Same death date as tombstone, 8-14-1925.  No information on parents.
